Last Friday I found myself en route to La Vie, Seapoint, and couldn't wait to quench my thirst with a tall glass of icy cold Jack Black draught.

After arriving at  La Vie, shortly after 7pm on a Friday evening, (and boy was I damn lucky to find a parking spot within relative walking distance) I immediately noticed the bustling, vibrant atmosphere of beautiful people enjoying tall glasses of chilled wine, merrily chattering about trivialities. It was beautifully lit, almost like a white, open - plan cocoon bursting with colours, voices and laughter.

La Vie is a typical cosmopolitan cocktail bar for the more trendy masses who prefer to be seen sporting expensive tailored Diesel jeans and Prada sunglasses. It is a tad pretentious, but also refreshing at the same time.

The service from the bar was a little slow, but at least it was friendly. La Vie's menu is also fairly well - priced , completely in line with Cape Town standards...and they stock Jack Black draught which always puts a bar right up there with my favourites!

Go and visit La Vie on Beach Road, Seapoint, and enjoy an after work sundowner, as this is what it is most well - know for!
